Childhood friends Brendan Kuhlkin and David Clapp are the team behind Millstone Pizza +Taphouse. In 2008, Brendan conceived of the concept of bringing New York quality, wood fired Neopolitan pizzas together with an extensive craft beer selection
great pizza and great beer, the perfect combination!
In developing the concept, Kuhlkin and Clapp embarked on The Great Pizza Tour 2012 and spent weeks (and many, many calories) in New York City and Chicago sampling and exploring the best of the best. Upon their return, they pulled their favorite element of their favorite pizzerias together to create the ultimate pizza and beer restaurant.
The bottom line is, Millstone Pizza + Taphouse makes a promise to use only the best of the best ingredients to make a pizza that is simply unrivaled. We use only locally made, farm-to-table cheeses, custom made meats flown directly to us from New York, and Caputo 00 flour from Italy with pure spring bottled water for our dough. Using the best ingredients and then cooking them at 900 degrees in our custom, 100% hickory fired Magnaini oven delivers a pizza that you will agree is unlike anything that Rock Hill has ever seen!
